What is Heartmoves?
Heartmoves is a low-to-moderate intensity physical activity program developed by the National Heart Foundation. It is suitable for older adults, people who haven't done any exercise for awhile and those with or at risk of stable chronic health conditions. Come along and exercise at your own pace in a fun and friendly group environment.
Heartmoves sessions include:
- warm-up and cool-down
- stretching
- aerobic and resistance training
- balance, coordination and flexibility
What benefits could I experience?
Heartmoves can help:
- lower blood pressure
- improve cholesterol control
- manage weight
- improve wellbeing and quality of life
- manage diabetes
- improve balance and flexibility
- improve sleep
- improve bone mineral density
- prevent falls and injuries from falls
Who can participate?
Everyone is welcome to attend Heartmoves. It is designed to be safe for people with (or at risk of) stable chronic health conditions including those with heart disease, diabetes, obesity, arthritis, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, osteoporosis, lung conditions and cancer.
Joining a Heartmoves class may help you:
- increase your physical activity levels
- maintain a healthy lifestyle
- continue your exercise after attending a rehabilitation program
- have fun and meet new people

Enhance Fitness Health & Wellness have classes planned for 2 new locations during 2012 - Springwood and Mount Gravatt on Brisbane's south side.
SPRINGWOOD

MOUNT GRAVATT
Location: Upper Mount Gravatt Progress Hall
Address: 1873 Logan Rd, Upper Mount Gravatt
